My heart is so sad , the pain is so great, he was my link to Michael (his) dog, I can’t even have a cuddy any more to be near you my darling, just pain all the time I have had enough of this world (cancer every where), “today was a day I was dreading” ~ My beloved Triecap Prince Zaphar has gone to join his master in the sky’s above. “Michael” your beautiful boy has come to rest with you he has grown his wings and on his way. I will sorely miss him. I remember the day he was born (our first born Triecap – (he popped out from Lady who is waiting for him and his father Sorcerer) ~ Zaphar had the biggest of white strips down the middle of his head – at that time we didn’t know if he was the one! So, we called him “Blade”, along with all the others given a nick name. In the end we keep two from that litter Zaphar & Zara his sister. My heart is aching and my tears are running down my face I am choking at the thought I will never see him again, he brought so much happiness and joy to both of us. Rest In Peace my darling Zaphar ~ xx
Here’s to all the years ~ to all the smiles ~ and all the tears ~ we will meet again to love and laugh ~ and wag our way down the Rainbow Bridge together ~ until we met again my beautiful boy ~
Triecap Prince Zaphar ~ had an excellent start in the UK Show Ring – his early high acclaim resulting from being placed Reserve Special Puppy Dog at the 2009 Crufts Dog Show was later further endorsed by Best Puppy, Best Dog, Best of Breed and Group placings in shared harmony with his sister Princess Zara as part of our carefully managed showing campaign for our younger Beagles. Prince Zaphar had a particularly impressive 2010 being awarded Best Dog in Breed and Best Opposite Sex at the Boston Championship Dog Show January 2010; Best Dog in Show at the Northern & Midland Counties Beagle Club February 2010 and was awarded Reserve Best Dog in Show at The Beagle Club March 2010. 2018 Prince Zaphar now competes in Veteran Classes and at The Beagle Assoication won Best Veteran In Show.
Prince Zaphar has competed at the Crufts Dog Show 2009-2010-2011-2012-2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019 and 2020 and was merited at the 2009–2011–2013– (short listed in 2017), 2018– < 2019 where he came 3rd Veteran and achieving a write in the history book > Crufts 2020 – would see this 12 year old Veteran dog strutting around the ring by giving his last performance on the famous green carpet and was awarded a Reverse from the judge Mr Darren Fellows.
In 2011, Prince Zaphar delivered a wonderful performance in the Open Dog class at the Driffield Championship Dog Show and was awarded a UK Kennel Club Stud Book Number accordingly entitling him to compete at the Crufts Dog Show every year throughout his lifetime.
May 2015 saw Prince Zaphar leave the show ring to begin a new career in the ‘Veteran Dogs’ show rings. Little does he know now he will be entitled to a sausage forgetting to the latter stages of his career at each and every championship show.
